I am almost certain Canon will release a 1 DXS, but since I purchased the 1 DS Mark 3 when it was released I was well over due for a camera update when this camera was released.
I bought one after shooting a story for Marie Claire, This camera produces files that work for about 95% of my jobs. I recently processed some files at 250% actual size in Capture One. My client needed high res files for some large Duratrans in a department store.
I was actually surprised at how well the files held together. The only real tweak the files needed was additional sharpening.
